The 82 game waste of time that is the NBA regular season has finally come to a close. 99 out of 100 fans / experts / mental patients could have predicted all 16 teams that are in the playoffs. However, there are story lines aplenty, so pay attention!

It’s official, KG is done for the postseason and so are the C’s. As good as they have been without him they can’t win a title. No way they beat the Cavs or even the Magic in a grueling 7 game series without their emotional leader.

Can anyone stop LeBron? No. The man is a complete freak. This writer smells something like 32.3 ppg, 8.7rpg, 9.0 apg, 3.5 bpg and 2 spg for the King (pungent isn’t it!). There is the slimmest of chances that Superman and the Magic get past the Cavs for a finals birth but Vegas won’t even give you odds for that one. No other team in the East should even be talked about out loud.

The West is a little more crowded. The Lakers are the behemoth here. Kobe and company have been the 1 seed since ’97 and are poised to urinate all over the field, literally and figuratively. The dark horse(s) here are, the Nuggets and the Blazers. Billups has been rejuvenated playing along side Carmelo in Denver (A.I. was a complete waste) and quietly carried the Nuggets to a 2 seed for a date with CP3 and the Hornets. The Blazers and Brandon Roy look poised for a deep run into the playoffs (sidebar: Who else is overly disappointed about Greg Oden? Haven’t GM’s learned yet not to take centers with the #1 pick? Let’s think, #1 pick centers – just to name a few; Sam Bowie, Michael Olowakandi and Kwame Brown; all stars.) The consensus here is that the Lake show will represent the West but anything can happen in La La land and the Western playoffs will be entertaining if nothing else. Is anyone else hoping there is another fight and 3 key players get suspended? The NBA, where game rigging happens!

Every playoff game is a game of the week, at least all the West ones. Anyone playing the Cavs, Celts or Magic have no shot, it doesn’t even matter who they are. Watch Flash drop 67 on the Hawks night after night, that will be fun.
